The Aural Sect is commonly known to his friends as Midi Junky, Big Al or Alistair Pettitt, whatever takes your fancy. The Aural Sect was found in an empty milk vat in Northland in the summer of love, and adopted by some benevolent but misguided individuals who forced him to live in Tasmania against his will for 5 years. His adoptive parents discovered brown bread (and their senses) and moved him to the Coromandel in the early 1970s where he found a copy of the Thames Star in the back of his Dad's Cortina.
