Soulman Signs for Woodcut
Music biz icon Aaron Christie broke ranks in 1999
when he founded Urban Soul label Woodcut Productions.
Now Christie's new label has signed its first
big name -- former Mamajama frontman Scabby D,
a pioneer of the urban soul rap doogie.
SCABBY D
Christie's Woodcut Productions will represent
both Scabby D and Mamajama, and will release the
band's upcoming album, "Bad Moo Moo."

"As an artist I've always done more than
an artist bro, and Woodcut Productions is more
than just a record company. That's where the match
comes in," says Scabby D, who first worked
with Christie in '97, when the former head of
Blown R's Records oversaw the Mamajama's debut
album. I just want to be heard - there's more
to me than freeshly squeezed!".

Early indications from music sources say that
sales of Bad Moo Moo could even outstrip sales
of their earlier album Carpet Fluff (and earn
Christie the recognition he craves).
